Community Acupuncture with Jackie Kook
: This will be a group healing event that offers grounding, rest and relief. Each participant will receive 5 acupuncture needles in each ear, known as the NADA protocol. NADA is deemed effective for providing relief with the symptoms associated with addictions, chronic stress, and PTSD, and has been utilized by health practitioners across various different settings. This means whether you experience PTSD symptoms, have sleep disturbances because of stress, or muscular pain, this ear acupuncture can provide a sense of restoration and well-being. In the clinic, Jackie often begins with this protocol for clients who experience some disconnection from their physical or emotional cues.
We will begin either as a circle with each person taking a moment to check in to the group or silently with each person taking their place lying down on a mat. The practitioner will check in with each person individually before applying the needles. Every person will get 20-40 minutes before the needles are removed. Some might experience deep sleep or a restful state. There is also an option to receive ear seeds instead of needles, which do not penetrate the skin, if you find that when the moment comes you decide against needles. This is an experience that is quiet and intended to support you wherever you are in your healing and wellness journey.
1:30pm-2:30pm
