Leah Roth

Leah is a NYC transplant with over a decade of experience as a movement leader,, yoga teacher and personal trainer. Her experience teaching several movement modalities led her to create her signature methods Rooted (grounded/functional strength) and Revive (strength with energetic bursts,) taught to the beat. Leah works from a place of creativity, mobility and function with constant focus on alignment and sensation. You can always expect an energetic experience, and a driving playlist.

Patricia Ruiz

Patricia Ruiz, originally from Manhattan, Kansas, a former professional dancer, moved to NYC in 1989.  Patricia is the founder of MovingStrength. She opened the first MovingStrength studio in 2005 with only herself and one other trainer which has grown into an extremely successful business with locations throughout the NY area offering a variety of group and private classes and trainings. She is a certified pilates teacher as well as Personal Trainer through ACE, and holds certifications in Powerplate, Yoga, Resist-a-Ball, TRX Suspension Training and Healthy Moms® Perinatal Training. Patricia has a unique teaching style- classically trained yet blends knowledge of PT, as well as contemporary movement corrective exercises to best meet her client's needs.

Dani Zuccheri

Dani Z is a highly respected and sought-after yoga teacher located on the Upper West Side of New York City.  Dani's teaching style is heavily influenced by her experience and understanding of movement, anatomy, and the connection between body and mind. She focuses on moving the body in a safe and fluid way, connecting with her students, and empowering them to become "forever students" of the practice. In 2018 Dani co-founded ZYOGA SPACE where they offered a wide range of yoga classes and workshops. You can always expect Dani to meet you on the mat with an open heart and a good dose of humility.

    Laurie

    Laurie Sleep is an E-RYT 500 yoga teacher and teacher trainer originally from California and currently living on the Upper West Side. Laurie teaches alignment-based flow classes that use movement and breath to cultivate mindfulness and create a space for self-inquiry. With clear instruction, intelligent sequencing, and a down-to-earth style, she creates a warm and encouraging environment for students of all levels. An avid hiker, backpacker, and nature lover, Laurie also enjoys practicing and teaching outside and on the trail. In addition to teaching yoga, Laurie has a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education and over 15 years of experience as a classroom teacher, teacher educator, and educational researcher. Teaching yoga provides the opportunity to combine her passion for yoga with her love of teaching, and she feels fortunate to have the opportunity to share the benefits of yoga with others.

    Chris Baron is an NYC-based yoga instructor and running coach. His yoga training with Hathavidya focused on a methodical, strength-based approach to the mind and the body. In addition to yoga, Chris is a certified run coach via RRCA and USA Track & Field. Chris adopted a consistent yoga practice while bouncing back from a running-related injury in 2016 and has fostered an interest in how the two disciplines can support each other ever since. When not teaching, Chris loves spending time with his family: wife, Leah; daughters Amalya and Ella, and their pup Genevieve.

    Desira Barnes has lived in NYC since Feb '09 pursuing a career in Pilates. She is currently certified as a Personal Trainer, Pilates Mat/Apparatus, Pre/Postnatal and TRX Instructor. Desira is dedicated to helping you connect your mind to your body, through touch cues and hands on assistant that surely help you find endless abdominal activation and physical awareness.

    Jason Charles Rosenberg started his yoga journey as a student at the original Yoga Zone in NYC in 1996, and has been a professional private and group yoga instructor for over twenty years in New York City.  Jason always tailors each client's practice to their individual needs, which can change over time, or even week to week, from beginners to more advanced students. When not teaching, Jason is an audio producer and radio professional and DJ.

  • Elijah Jane

    Elijah Jane Dillehay is a multi-faceted New York City based artist, performer, and teacher. She hails originally from a tiny farming community in the middle of nowhere, Tennessee. Elijah Jane received a BFA in Contemporary Dance from The Boston Conservatory. In December 2020, she completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Sonic Yoga in NYC and is currently registered with Yoga Alliance. She enjoys incorporating her dance background with functional movements to help encourage proper alignment for equal parts strength and stretch.

    Patricia Figueroa, MAT, CPT, a Harlem-born Afro-Latina with Dominican roots, stands out in her dual roles as a New York City educator and a fitness & wellness coach.  As a Pilates teacher and personal trainer, she is passionate about guiding others to discover their strength and the transformative power of fitness, not just physically but also for mental and emotional wellness. She utilizes various fitness modalities and techniques to meet her students where they are in their fitness journey. Patricia is known for her honest and encouraging approach, constantly pushing her clients and students to exceed their expectations and embrace their full potential.

    Lauren "LG" Estigarribia is a Native New Yorker, born in Brooklyn, currently living in Harlem, and has been practicing yoga in NYC and internationally for over 25 years. As one of the original instructors of the intenSati Method at both Equinox , Google, Citi and Bank of America, initially LG's feeling was to continue her yoga practice as a student only rather than teach. Over the last five years, LG decided it was time to share the gifts of her Yoga and Meditation training with others. LG's goal is for students to be present on their mats and for each student to get what he/she/they need out of the class and encourages students to do what elevates their heart and soul.   • Maddy

    Madelyn, originally from Roanoke, Virginia, is a professional dancer based out of New York, NY. She holds a BFA in Dance and minor in Psychology from Adelphi University, where she was first introduced to pilates as a cross-training method. As a dancer, Madelyn is passionate about bringing awareness to the benefits of movement both physically and mentally. Her main goal is for students to stay healthy, rehabilitate injuries, and maintain body awareness. In addition to teaching at Method Collective, Madelyn teaches pilates at Moving Strength Studios, dances in the Taylor Outreach Ensemble, and serves on faculty as a Teaching Artist Assistant at the Mark Morris Dance Center. She is certified through Moving Strength’s PMA Pilates Certification and is thrilled to share her love for fitness at Method Collective!

    Simba’s passion for the arts and wellness goes hand in hand. With a background in performance and movement, he brings presence, rhythm, and awareness into every session. As a certified yoga instructor, personal trainer, and corrective exercise specialist, Simba teaches that progress isn’t found in speed, but in presence and intention.

    His approach bridges science and soul, encouraging mindful strength, mobility, and alignment. In Simba’s classes, you’ll learn to challenge your body without disconnecting from it. You’ll sweat, breathe, and leave grounded stronger in more ways than one.

    Sophia Rissi is a born and raised New Yorker. She graduated college with a BFA in Musical Theatre from SUNY Cortland. She started taking pilates classes for a few years as a student, and not only has pilates made her stronger in her everyday life and professional career but she also found a passion for it. She is certified through Moving Strength's PMA Pilates Certification. She can't wait to share her love for Pilates with all you guys!

    Maria, born and raised in Denmark, immigrated to NYC after studying dance at the Limon institute in 2013 and 2017.

    Breath, functional alignment and inclusivity are central elements in all Maria’s classes. To her, Yoga is about balance, intention and self-acceptance. As a long-time dedicated Yoga student, and yoga teacher since 2013, Maria believes Yoga is for every body and strives for every person to leave class feeling seen and cared for, regardless of experience level and physical capacity. 

    Maria caters to all students who seek well-rounded classes with an added sprinkle of pranayama, philosophy and playfulness.
